Bio

Greg Abbott was born Sept. 9, 1952, and grew up on his familyÂs farm north of Agra, Kansas. He majored in speech and English at Fort Hays State University, where he graduated in 1974. In 1976, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Georgia. He was named Artistic Director of DramaTech in 1984 and taught theater courses in the School of Literature, Communication and Culture. On December 1, 2006, Greg passed away from a heart attack. For the 23 years intervening, Greg was DramaTech's Artistic Director, the longest-serving to date. He is missed by us all.
