Zenas 'Daddy' Sears
Influential radio impresario Zenas Sears significantly boosted the careers of such performers as Ray Charles and James Brown. He broke into radio in the '40s after purchasing station WAOK-AM in Atlanta and changing its format to focus on contemporary African-American music.
He will always be of import to DramaTech, however, because he was its first full-time director.
